Our Story

The Pileggi name is synonymous with good food.  It all started in the early 1930s when Grandpa Vito Pileggi and my father, Joe Pileggi, started a food route for Italian families who migrated to the mid-west after the depression to find work in the steel mills and the brick yards.  They traveled through New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia providing the every-day staples to the Italian families who lived outside of the big cities. 

My family then moved to Ohio in the early 1950s because many people from our hometown in Italy settled in the Canton, Ohio area.  My father then established Pileggi's Italian Deli and Grocery supplying food to families of various nationalities. 

I, in turn, have kept the family tradition alive, owning both delis and restaurants.

We continue to serve the community authentic Italian cuisine and give the same warm hospitality as if you are coming to our home for dinner.

We also feature our catering for your next function, whether it be large or small.
